Heartwood, Meditations on Southern Oaks, my first book, was published in 1998 by Bulfinch / Little Brown Books. It is a small gift book (7"x9" in size) containing black-and-white photographs of Southern live oaks paired with short poetry by the Sufi mystic poet, Rumi.  It is out of print, but used copies are available on Amazon and Abe Books.

This portfolio contains black and white images from the first Heartwood and from my most recent book, "Return to Heartwood - Search for the Heart of Live Oak Country."  For purchase information, go to www.returntoheartwood.com.
