For many years before moving to the Southwest in 2021, I visited the northern New Mexico area often. I was in awe of the feelings that I experienced from the land - especially the large undeveloped areas. Under the open sky, there is a presence here, as though the land were awake. Possibly it's because of the long history of indigenous people's residence in, and reverence for this land. The high desert is very different from live oak country of Louisiana. 

My experience of living here, has made me look at my past creative work with new eyes. This portfolio contains selected work from pre- and post-2021. The images of landscapes and structures are toned, colored, painted, and abstracted. Prints are available on paper and canvas.
